The Flood Flow series is a reaction to the endless rain in October/November 2018. Watching the river at Foots Cray Meadows rushing and tumbling with distorted reflection of trees surrounding them, and the autumnal colours of falling leaves caught up in eddies of swirling water contrasting the grey brown water in the autumn fire colours of the leaves. A strange similarity with the colours I was seeing in fires in Australia.

The act of pouring the pre mixed paint echoing the flow and turbulence of the water. The collage can be seen as the fractured reflection of the autumnal trees and the stitching as reflected light and movement.
